Your reception is just that: yours. We want you to feel free to get creative in our space and treat it like it’s yours. Our venues offer space for both indoor and outdoor receptions.
How can I decorate the tables at my wedding reception?
You can decorate tables with just about anything you’d like. What inspires you or has significance in your relationship? Feel free to get creative.
We do not allow confetti, glitter, rice, bubbles, sand, or Japanese lanterns with flames at the tables.
Who decorates the venue?
You do or any vendor you hire. There is no upcharge for decorating our reception venues.
What do you provide for decorations?
We provide different decorations at each one of our venues:
Watermark - Votive candles, square mirrors, floor-length white linen.
StoneWater - Votive candles, square mirrors, floor-length white linen.
Sunnybrook - Votive candles, square mirrors, floor-length white linen.
Thousand Oaks - Votive candles, square mirrors, floor-length white linen.
Boatwerks - Charges for dinner plate decorations: silver, gold, bronze, red, copper $.85, small centerpieces $5, white resin chairs $4, white chair covers $3, stage 4-4x8 sections- $45/section, steps- $20, dance floor (included).
Macatawa - Votive candles, simple fake plant centerpieces, floor length white linen.
Thornapple Pointe - Votive candles, mirrors, floor-length white linen.
Ravines - 4 large farmhouse tables, permanent market lights, floor-length white linen and choice of napkin color.
Do you offer tents for outdoor wedding receptions?
No, however, we do work with rental companies to provide tents for your outdoor reception.
Do you offer chair covers?
Chair covers are only offered at Boatwerks for $3.00 each. All other locations are dependent on the vendor you select.
Do you have a required or preferred florist?
No. You are free to use any florist to decorate your reception.
Can I hang decorations from the ceiling of venues?
Do you have restrictions on what can be used for decorating?
No - other than what can be used to decorate tables with.
With a full, on-site catering menu that includes appetizers, plated and buffet dinners, carving stations, and desserts, your guests will be asking you to get married again just to experience the food one more time.

Do you allow off-site catering?
Only in special circumstances, but we have the best food, so why would you want anything less than the best? Event managers can provide additional information.
Do you offer food for dietary restrictions?
Yes. We can accommodate vegetarians, vegans, dairy-free, gluten-free, allergies and more.
Do you offer buffet-style, plated, or both?
Both. You are free to select the style of dinner that you prefer for your reception.
We have a drink selection that could keep you busy for days and multiple packages to accommodate the craft beer connoisseur, the wine whiz, and the liquor lover.
How much is an open bar?
That depends on these three factors:
The type of alcohol you want to be served.
The time period you want to have an open bar.
The venue you are having your reception at.
What kinds of drinks do you offer?
Soda, coffee, tea, iced tea, lemonade, punch bowls, beer, wine, liquor, champagne, and infused water.
Do you provide a bartender?
Yes. We can provide multiple bartenders.
Your DJ will have you falling in love all over again, while our venues can provide any additional audio and visual equipment for your listening or viewing needs.
Can I hire my own DJ?
Yes. We do not provide a DJ.
Do you have any projector screens available?
Yes. All locations have projectors and screens for rental.

How can I arrange seating at my reception?
We have different seating options at each one of our venues:
Ravines - Rounds and 4 large farmhouse tables. Head table or sweetheart table.
Boatwerks - Rounds, rectangles or squares depending on guest count. Head table or sweetheart table.
Watermark - Rounds. Head table or sweetheart table.
StoneWater- Rounds. Head table or sweetheart table.
Sunnybrook- Rounds. Head table or sweetheart table.

Do you have round or square tables?
We have different options at each of our venues:
Ravines - Hightops are square, round tables for seating, 6-foot rectangular tables, 8-foot farmhouse tables.
Boatwerks - Both round and square with the majority of hightops being round. There are a few square hightops. Both 6-foot and 8-foot tables.
Watermark, StoneWater, Sunnybrook, Thousand Oaks, Thornapple and Macatawa - 8-foot and 6-foot rectangle tables. Small round high tops and 5-foot and 6-foot round low tables.
How many people can sit at each table?
The number of people that can sit at each table depends on the venue and tables selected.
Ravines - 8 people or 10 people, depending on the size of the round table.
Boatwerks - 8 people.
Macatawa, Watermark, StoneWater, Sunnybrook, Thousand Oaks, Thornapple Pointe - 8 to 10 people.
Do you have a table for wedding cakes?
Yes. We have tables for wedding cakes at each one of our venues.
Do you provide a table for gifts?
Yes. We have tables for gifts at each one of our venues.
Is there a separate dance floor for indoor receptions?
Yes. Dance floors are included for every indoor reception venue.
Is there a dance floor for outdoor receptions?
Yes. However, dance floors for outside receptions need to be rented.
For outdoor receptions, will there be an indoor cover?
That depends on the venue you choose.

If it’s really hot outside, is there a place to cool off?
We don’t have a place for a lot of guests to come in to cool off at once, but the restaurants are open to the public for guests to cool off in if needed.
Is there an indoor alternative for bad weather?
Yes. Indoor alternatives can be arranged with sales managers.

That depends on how many guests you have. Pricing starts at $600.

How long can the reception be?
That depends on the venue.
Ravines - Event start time is 5 pm, lights up and sound off at 11 pm and out by midnight.
Boatwerks, Watermark, Sunnybrook, StoneWater, Thousand Oaks, Thornapple Pointe, Macatawa - 4 pm - 12 am. 6 hours.
How early can we come in to decorate before the reception?
Access to each space can begin at 3 pm. If the room is available beforehand, you can purchase more time at $150/ hour.
What should I not forget when planning my reception?
Late-night snacks for after dinner. They are a sure crowd-pleaser.
Do you provide a wedding planner, and if so, what do they do?
No. However, sales managers help with the event details prior to the event and banquet managers help with day-of set up and tear down, serving, etc.
Do you offer indoor and outdoor receptions?
Yes. We offer both, but tents are not included for outdoor receptions.
Do you offer assistance in dealing with mosquitoes for outdoor receptions?
Yes. We spray all of our properties to deter mosquitos.
